We are currently seeking motivated students (undergraduate and graduate) and capable postdoctoral scholars to join PI-Lab at Duke. We are enthusiasts of novel photoacoustic imaging technologies. A freshly-started lab like us is a unique place for students/scholars to participate the research from the very beginning: create ideas on top of the technical frontlines, build the imaging systems from the scratch, design the experiments from the ground up, and lead projects with high degrees of flexibility and responsibility. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of our research in imaging and its biomedical applications, we will always look for applicants with a wide variety of backgrounds, especially in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Optics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
Opportunies for undergraduate students:
We are looking for highly motivated undergraduate students to assist with research projects. Students should contact Dr. Yao (email@example.com) for more information.
Opportunities for graduate students:
There are typically 1-2 openings for graduate students each year. Candidates should apply to the Biomedical Engineering Department and specify interest in working with Dr. Yao (firstname.lastname@example.org) in their application.
Opportunities for postdocs:
We are currently seeking to hire 2 postdoctoral researchers in the areas of optical imaging and ultrasound imaging. Candidates should have relevant research experience and hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or any related field. Applicants should send a cover letter, CV, and list of three references as a single document to Dr. Yao (email@example.com).
